LAB GUIDE: INHERIT, REFINE, COMPOSE

INTRODUCTION: LAB

LAB is a primary function in-game that allows you to use 4 other sub-functions such as;

  • GEAR INHERIT
  • GEAR REFINE
  • PROP COMPOSE
  • PILL COMPOSE

Each sub-functions serves a purpose; whether to assist you in creating better gears, props to use for other dungeons, making pills for pets to make them stronger, etc.

GEAR INHERIT

Gear Inherit is a sub-function in lab that allows you to transfer a gear’s enhanced level of + 9 (inclusive of evolution stats) to another gear of the same level. However, there are several restrictions to be considered and the are as follow;

#1 RESTRICTION:
It only applies to the same level of gear.
Example; Level 35 gear to Level 35 gear.

#2 RESTRICTION:
It only applies to the same gear of its kind.
Example; Weapon to Weapon only, Armor type to Armor type only.

However, there is no restriction on the TYPE of weapons you can used to as both Material or Inherit Gear.
Example; Sword as Material > Staff as Inherit Gear
or
Two-Handed Axe as Material > Wand as Inherit Gear

#3 RESTRICTION:
Only a Legendary + 9 Gear can be used as a “Unload” Material for another gear to “Inherit”

This sub-function is exceptionally useful in situations like;

  1. You decided to change Class
    example: you can pass on your Legendary + 9 Sword enhance to a Staff, Wand, Offhand.
  2. Getting Equipment Coupon
    example: exchanged gear (+9) for direct transfer of enhance level + 9 to another gear without the hassle and wastage of materials for enhance and evolution.
  3. Switching Weapons
    example: decided to swap weapon type for build purpose – from using two-handed bow to dual wield.

The cost of Gear Inherit only cost you 50 gems, compared to the amount of raw materials and gold you need to used from scratch, it’s a pretty good deal.


GEAR REFINE

Gear Refine is a sub-function in lab that allows you to change Bonus Stats type and value on your weapons. There is a chance for any Bonus Stats in any of the 4 lines (Epic/Yellow Gears) to be re-rolled as MAX (Maximum value of its level), making your gear even stronger.

*NOTE* You can use it on any other grade of gears besides Epic/Yellow Gears but I strongly DO NOT RECOMMEND it as it is a waste of mutagens.

REFINEMENT REQUIREMENT(S):

You are required to have “Mutagen” in order to re-roll a new Bonus stats on the gear of your choice.

Initial cost for no-lock cost 1 Mutagen, each subsequent lock cost 1 additional Mutagen.

  • No Lock – 1 Mutagen
  • 1 Lock – 2 Mutagen
  • 2 Lock – 3 Mutagen
  • 3 Lock – 4 Mutagen

When you run out of Mutagen, another alternate option is to use Gem currency to do your gear refinement (VIP3 stats is required to uinlock Gem usage function).

Initial cost for no-lock cost 30 gem, each subsequent lock cost 30 gem increment.

  • No Lock – 30 gem
  • 1 Lock – 60 gem
  • 2 Lock – 90 gem
  • 3 Lock – 120 gem

MECHANICS OF MAXING BONUS STATS (update as of 08/06/2016)

With the new update, getting a MAX Bonus Stats uses less Mutagen. The new implementation of having;

Minimum Mutagen usage – 5 mutagen to get 4 MAX Bonus Stats
or
Maximum Mutagen usage – 60 mutagen to get 4 MAX Bonus Stats *(need confirmation)

Example;
If a player is Ultra-lucky, he/she could have just spent 5 mutagen to get all 4 Bonus Stats to a MAX Value.

If a player is Ultra-Unlucky, he/she would have to spent 60 mutagen to get all 4 Bonus Stats to a Max Value.

Therefore, the range to get ONE gear to 4 MAX Bonus Stats will range from a minimum of 5 and to a maximum of 60 Mutagens.

TIPS:
It is more cost and material efficient for you to continuously refine with 1 mutagen to get all on MAX Bonus Stats in 1 gear than to lock-down on one or two specific MAX Bonus Stats to get those remaining non-MAX Bonus Stats to a Max Bonus Stats.

Once you have a gear with 4 Max Bonus Stats, start locking specific type of Bonus Stats of your choice to re-roll those unwanted ones.

A Coliseum Weapon (Level 40, 50, and 60) all contain Perfect Stats, which are one level above Max. If refined in lab, these Perfect Stats will turn into Max Stats and will remain Max if rerolled again.


PROP COMPOSE

Prop Compose is a sub-functions that allows you to compose/craft various items for various purposes in-game. The following list of items that can be composed is as follow;

Pill Compose is a sub-functions that allows you to compose/craft one specific type of pill for player as well as various type of pills for pets. The following list of items that can be composed is as follow;

#1 MIRACLE SEED:

Purpose
Upon use, permanently adds 1% attribute to one of 3 Class Bonus % randomly.
One use per day only.

  1. When do you recommend to start refining gear? For example I just started the game and it probably won’t be worth it to refine level 15 gear as I should be hitting level 20 soon(hopefully?).
